Chinese group plans rubber additives capacity expansion

Shandong project to add 3,000 tonnes/year of rubber additives and 1,000 tonnes/year of glycourea
Weifang, China – Chinese chemicals producer Shandong Chenhong Chemical Technology Co. is planning to expand its production capacity with a new project to manufacture 3,000 tonnes/year of rubber additives and 1,000 tonnes/year of glycourea.
The project recently entered the public consultation stage of China's environmental impact assessment (EIA) approval process, according to a notice.
The new facilities will be built within Chenhong Chemical's existing manufacturing site in the Changyi Binhai (Xiaying) Economic Development Zone in Weifang, Shandong province.
According to the EIA documents, the project will involve the renovation of idle land, production workshops, tank storage and supporting facilities at the existing plant.
Once completed, the project will provide annual production capacity of 3,000 tonnes of rubber additives and 1,000 tonnes of glycourea.
Established in 2013, Shandong Chenhong Chemical Technology Co. is located in Changyi Binhai and mainly produces rubber accelerators, nitrososulfate, dyeing and printing auxiliaries, pharma ingredients and chemical intermediates.
