ERJ staff report (TP)
Madras, India – MRF (Madras Rubber Factory) has chosen Salalah in Oman for the location of its new retreading factory.
The factory’s initial production capacity will be 1,500 tires for ten tonne and above trucks and tractors. India-based MRF said the factory has an expandable capacity of more than 300 tires per month.
MRF said with this development there are now about six to seven retreading factories of different brands in Oman.
The factory will work under Al Aetifaq United Trading & Contracting Co LLC.
MRF added that retreading factories in Oman follow GCC (Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf) standards and have their licenses issued by Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and Municipality.
