China ends rubber anti-dumping measures
ERJ staff report (PR)
Beijing - China has terminated anti-dumping measures imposed on rubber imported from Russia, Japan and Korea, MOFCOM, the country's ministry of commerce has announced.
Chinese manufacturers had not requested any extension of the anti-dumping duties, the Chinese ministry said 7 Sept – a day before the expiry date for the measures.
In 2009, China imposed the duties for a period of five years on imports of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), as used in the manufacture of tires and other rubber products.
The move followed an investigation which determined that dumping of SBR had caused damage to Chinese industry.
