Italian machinery supplier cites expanding opportunities in other polymer sectors
Busto Arsizio, Italy — Italian machinery manufacturer Comerio Ercole has reported strong demand across its core tire and rubber markets as well as other polymer segments in the first half of 2026.
In a July market update, the company said the market "continues to show strong momentum," with the first six months of the year delivering "positive results and encouraging growth prospects."
Continued investment by tire and rubber customers, alongside growing opportunities in plastics processing, PVC films, nonwovens and speciality applications, underpinned the positive market outlook.
"The first half of 2026 has confirmed strong market activity and increasing demand for advanced manufacturing solutions," Comerio Ercole said.
Looking ahead, Comerio Ercole said "several important projects and exciting developments are already taking shape", creating "a promising outlook" for the months ahead.
This includes the recently announced JET (joint embossing technological centre), established in partnership with Italy's SIMEC Group.
The new facility is designed to support the development and industrialisation of advanced post-embossing technologies for polymer films, nonwovens and related materials.
Separately, the company said it hosted an official delegation from the municipality of Svilajnac, Serbia.
The visit, it said, provided an opportunity to present Comerio Ercole’s expertise in "advanced machinery for the rubber and plastics industries," while exchanging ideas on innovation, manufacturing and future international collaboration.
