Jean-Francis Spindler appointed R&I director for Solvay Silica

Lyon - Solvay has appointed Jean-Francis Spindler Research and Innovation Director for its Silica Global Business Unit.
Spindler graduated with a PhD in Organic Catalysis in 1990 from Claude Bernard University, and joined Rhône Poulenc as a project manager within the research and development function.
He progressed through various scientific and management roles, including most recently R&D director for Rhodia Organics and R&I European zone director for Rhodia and then Solvay.
