ERJ staff report (TP)
Brussels – Bridgestone will debut its first premium agricultural tire at this month’s Reifen Essen in Germany.
The firm’s two-storey booth will be used to showcase its commercial products, including those of its subsidiary brands Firestone, Bandag and Protread. "Highlights" include new truck and bus tires such as the “robust, all-position urban” Bridgestone U-AP 001 and the new generation Firestone FS422 steer, FD622 drive and FT522 trailer tires. New Bandag products such as the fuel-smart FuelTech M749 FuelTech and R109 FuelTech will also be showcased, as well as the regional drive BDR-HT4.
Bridgestone has entered the agricultural market with the release of its first premium agricultural tire, the VT-TRACTOR which will go on show for the first time in Essen. With Firestone, “already a market leader in the agricultural segment”, Bridgestone aims to “raise the bar even higher in this competitive field with tires that offer the best of both worlds when it comes to soil protection and efficiency”. The Bridgestone VT-TRACTOR will join the ranks of new Firestone agricultural products in the Performer and Maxi Traction range for row crops and combines respectively.
Also on display are its Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and the latest version of its ToolBox application, designed to give fleet operators a clear and constant view of the condition of their tires.
The Reifen Essen trade fair will take place in Essen, Germany from 27 to 30 May.
The Bridgestone booth can be found at Hall 3, stand 3C36.
