Cabot taps Cognizant for ‘digital transformation’ 

Teaneck, New Jersey – Cabot Corp. has selected US digital solutions supplier Cognizant to help transform its digital operating model. 

Under the agreement, Cognizant will act as the managed services provider for application development and maintenance and infrastructure and operations services, said Cabot in a 26 Oct statement. 

The move, it said, will enable automation, cloud, DevOps, artificial intelligence and self-service across Cabot’s operations.

The carbon black maker said it started its digital transformation move as an enterprise-wide initiative to improve its ways of working, become more effective and efficient, and harness the power of digital technologies. 

With the new partnership, Cabot said it aimed to focus more fully on "driving digital strategy, building strategic business partnerships and digitalising the way it does business."

Tapping data-driven technology, Cognizant will help improve Cabot’s business services and enhance digital experience of its customers to drive value. 

With ‘accelerated digitalisation’, Cabot also expects to be able to better execute its strategic growth priorities, said Ivan Skerl, Cabot’s VP chief digital and information officer.
