Appointments made by asset management firm Davidson Kempner, which took over a majority stake in Nynas in July
Stockholm – New York-based asset management firm Davidson Kempner Capital Management, which took over a majority stake in Nynas AB in July has introduced new directors for the board of the Swedish refiner.
In a 23 Aug statement, Nynas introduced the new directors as:
• Anthony Place: An independent director, with over 25 years of experience in assisting boards in "preserving and maximising value" for all stakeholders.
• Stein Ivar Bye: An independent director bringing 30 years of experience in the downstream industry with previous working experience at ExxonMobil, Preem and Essar Oil.
• Alexis Pourchet: A representative of Davidson Kempner, with 20 years of experience in “driving value for private and public companies.” He has previously acted in advisory roles with upstream and downstream energy companies such as Marathon Oil, Statoil (now Equinor), and Alon.
Previous directors Bernd Schmidt, Rami Farah, and Mohamed Idriss have now resigned from the Nynas board.
