Tire maker names new regional sales manager, and national accounts manager
Daventry, UK – Hankook Tyre UK has made two recent appointments to support its regional sales teams.
The South Korean tire maker has named Andy Hodkin to the position of regional sales manager of the truck and bus tire segment for the North East region.
He succeeds John Spilsbury who retired on 31 July, following a long career in the tire industry and nine years’ service at Hankook Tyre UK, the company announced 11 Aug.
Hodkin has 27 years of experience in the industrial tire business, and has “significant knowledge” of the industry, according to Hankook.
“It’s an amazing opportunity for me to be able to join Hankook,” said Hodkin upon taking his position.
“I am excited to be working with a great team and look forward to adding further value to the Hankook brand,” he said.
Hankook Tyre UK also appointed James Young to national accounts manager, taking over from David Block who retired on 1 July.
Young was previously retail development manager and will continue to collaborate with customers to provide product and industry training.
“Both of our new appointments demonstrate Hankook’s ambitious growth plans here in the UK,” said UK managing director, Chang-Yool Han.
