Conti names new general manager for Romanian tire factory

Matthieu Turlure to replace Carlos Bernabe who has retired after 42 years of service at Continental
Timisoara, Romania – Continental AG has appointed Matthieu Turlure as director of its tire production factory in Timisoara, effective 1 Aug.
He replaces Carlos Bernabe who is retiring from Continental after 42 years of professional activities, the group announced 2 Aug.
Turlure joined Continental in 2015 and has experience in the field of production and quality standards of the automotive industry.
Prior to this position, he was general manager of Continental France and director of Continental Anvelope in Sarreguemines, France, for six years.
"I was impressed by the latest achievements of the production unit [in Timisoara] and I am confident that we will continue to produce and deliver high quality tires to our customers," he said.
Described by Conti as one of its “most modern and strategic production units’, the Timisoara plant manufactures a wide range of tires, from 13 to 20 inches, ultra high performance (UHP) tires, tires for electric cars, as well as tires for light commercial vehicles.
