German hose maker says 70% of new business awards for battery cooling products
Frankfurt, Germany – Tristone Flowtech has reported a 39.8% increase in first half sales, despite “very high global automotive market volatility.”
The German hose maker’s 15 July statement did not provide a sales figure for 2021, but the group’s sales for the first six months of 2020 stood at €122 million.
Tristone said 70% of the total new business awards received in the first half of this year were in the battery cooling product family, in line with its “overall market and product strategy.”
“Tristone is fully committed to comply with all sustainability directives as well as customer expectations in this field,” said Bernd Bitter, group VP sales and marketing.
Tristone said the increase in sales was achieved despite “a very turbulent first half”, with significant challenges posed by the raw material markets and the semi-conductors shortage.
For the full year, Tristone said it expects a 21% growth in sales to €380 million, supported by its “new products and applications with new patented technology.”
