Trelleborg Sealing adding service centre to German HQ

Facility to offer 'industry-specific solutions' such as cleanroom handling, sub-assembly and quality assurance processes
Stuttgart, Germany – Trelleborg Sealing Solutions (TSS) has started the construction of a new ‘highly automated’ European service centre at its Stuttgart-Gärtringen headquarters, the company announced 17 June.
The ‘sustainably designed’ building will have a floor space of 14,000 square metres and is scheduled for completion in April 2023.
The facility will offer industry-specific solutions, such as cleanroom handling for the semiconductor and healthcare & medical industries, sub-assembly for the fluid power and off-highway industries, and nano-strength coatings for the food, beverage & water industry.
In addition, the services will also includes various quality assurance processes, said TSS.
With room for future expansion, the centre will be equipped with an intralogistics automation system to streamline the logistics processes.
The building is powered by both solar and renewable energy systems and charging stations for electric vehicles are planned, according to Peter Hahn, president Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.
The facility, he added, will have a “flexible and modular room layout” to offer an innovative working environment.
