Hübner appoints new manager for German subsidiary GWU

Albert Herb takes over as the managing director of the the supplier of door sealing and safety systems for buses
Kassel, Germany – Industrial and transportation parts supplier Huebner Group has appointed Albert Herb as the managing director of its subsidiary Gummi-Welz GmbH & Co. KG (GWU Group), a supplier of door sealing and safety systems for buses.
Effective 1 June, Herb succeeds Horst Grein, who resigned from his mandate 31 May, Huebner announced 7 June.
Over the recent months, Herb has served as production manager within Huebner’s material solutions division and has taken measures to realign production at the GWU location in Neu-Ulm.
The appointment will expand his role at the site, Huebner said.
Grein will continue R&D work with Huebner’s material solutions as a senior expert application engineering bus.
Huebner acquired GWU in April 2019, as part of a strategy to become a ‘global leader’ in door safety systems in railway and bus segments.
Based in Neu-Ulm, Germany, GWU has five production sites across Germany, Poland and Turkey where it manufactures finger protection profiles that work with light curtains as touchless safety systems.
