Petra Preining to succeed Gabriele Schallegger as CFO for a one-year period
Vienna – Semperit AG Holding’s chief financial officer Gabriele Schallegger has resigned from the executive board, seven months after taking over the position.
Petra Preining, currently a member of the management team of Austria-based B&C Group and managing director of B&C Innovation Investments GmbH, will be appointed her successor for a one-year period, Semperit announced 17 May.
Described as an “acknowledged financial expert with extensive international experience,” Preining served as Semperit’s CFO between March and October 2020, before Schallegger took over the position on 12 October last year.
“Gabriele Schallegger has very successfully continued the transformation of the finance and IT units at Semperit over the past months,” said the newly appointed chairman of the supervisory board, Herbert Ortner.
“We regret her resignation but respect her personal motives and wish her all the best for her future professional activities,” he added.
Schallegger’s resignation comes less than a week after the sudden departure of chairman of the supervisory board Dr Walter Koppensteiner.
