Hamburg, Germany – Biesterfeld Performance Rubber has taken over the distribution rights of ExxonMobil Chemical’s Oppera-branded modifiers across Europe.
The modifiers are hydrocarbon resins compatible with a wide range of hydrocarbon elastomers, said Biesterfeld in a 21 April statement.
Among other applications, the modifiers can be used in tires to improve wet grip and as well as in rubber products such as power transmission belts, conveyor belts and hoses.
The chemicals, Biesterfeld said, are compatible with different formulators and offer low compound viscosity for easier processing while avoiding the softening of the end-product.
“By obtaining the distribution right for Oppera modifiers we are able to complete our portfolio, as it perfectly supplements our other product groups,“ said Lennart Kalytta, product manager Biesterfeld Performance Rubber.
Biesterfeld and ExxonMobil Chemical are long-term partners, with Biesterfeld marketing products such as ExxonMobil’s Vistalon EPDM and Exxon butyl rubber.
