Konimpex extends rubber distribution partnership with Sibur 

Konin, Poland – Konimpex has signed a new agreement with Sibur, which applies to the distribution of nitrile rubber (NBR), the Polish based distributor has announced.

Effective from 1 Jan, the deal continues Konimpex’s partnership with Sibur as a distributor of NBR in Poland, Turkey and France.

“This agreement will strengthen our relationship with such a solid partner Sibur,” said Andrzej Brud, rubber department director of Konimpex, in a written statement to ERJ. 

"Cooperation with a strong partner will insure Sibur’s presence in strategically important regions of Europe," added Sergey Krasnozhon, team leader, from Sibur International, Vienna. 

Russia-based Sibur produces 20 NBR rubber grade at a 42.5ktpa plant in Krasnoyarsk, while its Voronezh plant has designed capacity to produce 326ktpa of SBR, BR, SSBR and 135ktpa of SBS.

NBR is used in a wide range of applications areas, including automotive, cables, hoses, gaskets, seals, coatings and conveyor belts.
