Datwyler head of industrial business Maschke stepping down

Altdorf, Switzerland – Datwyler’s head of industrial solutions business area Torsten Maschke is set to leave the company at the end of March, the Swiss group has announced.
Maschke joined Datwyler’s team of executive management in autumn 2016 to head the division previously known as sealing solutions.
In a 2020 rejig, Maschke took over the responsibility for the group’s industrial solutions business area, where he “made a successful contribution… to overcoming the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
A mechanical and industrial engineer, Maschke is an expert in elastomer and sealing technology, as well as the automotive industry, Datwyler said in 2016 when announcing his appointment.
Prior to Datwyler, he was responsible for the worldwide distribution of sealing and damping solutions for the automotive industry at Freudenberg.
Following Maschke’s departure, the industrial solutions business will by headed directly by CEO Dirk Lambrecht as of 1 April.
The executive management team of Datwyler will comprise four members: Dirk Lambrecht, CEO and head of the industrial solutions business area, Dirk Borghs, head of the healthcare solutions business area, Walter Scherz, CFO, and Frank Schön, CTO.
