China’s Zhonghui to build conveyor belt plant

Wuhu, Anhui – Zhonghui Rubber Technology signed contract on 17 March to build a €64 million (500 million yuan) agricultural machinery belt plant in Wuhu, Anhui province.

Located in the city’s Sanshan Economic Zone, the project has annual designed capacity that comprises of 80 million metres of high performance conveyor belt for agricultural machinery and 30,000 tonnes of rubber track, said Wuhu government. 

Smart manufacturing technology will be used in the project, which will create 400 jobs when in full operation, and generate €77 million annual sales, said local government.

Zhonghui is headquartered in Wuxi, Jiangsu province and also makes rubber belts for engineering machinery and the auto sector. Its products are marketted under the brand name Zhongliang and are exported to Europe, the US and Southeast Asia. 

The company posted annual sales of €39 million last year, and supplies to international agricultural machinery brands such as Kubota and Zoomlion as well as other local Chinese manufacturers.
