Takes over from Helmut Esefeld, who is retiring after helping to shape the company since 2006
Waldkraiburg, Germany – Dr Darijo Mijolovi? is to take over the management of Gummiwerk Kraiburg GmbH & Co. KG, based in Waldkraiburg, and its subsidiaries in Bulgaria and Russia, with effect from 1 March.
He succeeds Helmut Esefeld, who is retiring after playing a lead role in shaping the company since 2006, according to a Kraiburg statement issued 17 Feb .
Mijolovi?, it said, has extensive knowledge of the chemical and elastomer industry and many years of experience in management and leadership roles. He graduated with a chemistry degree from the University of Regensburg in 1998, and received his doctorate in 2001.
After graduation, Mijolovi? joined German chemicals group BASF SE at its Ludwigshafen base, where he specialised in polymer chemistry for more than eleven years working there.
Initially, he worked as a lab manager in polymer research and then as a project manager for BASF’s intermediates business development. In 2010, he took over as head of development for the group’s paper chemicals Europe business unit.
Mijolovi? then moved to Kraiburg’s thermoplastic elastomers subsidiary Kraiburg TPE GmbH & Co. KG. As director corporate R&D he was globally responsible for research and development as well as innovation management.
From 2017, he gained overall responsibility for quality, energy and environmental management and played a key role in the global restructuring and reorganisation of internal processes and setting up a sustainability management system.
