Shows “commitment to the Indian market and our ambition of becoming a truly global company”
Chennai, India - Xingda Steel Tyre Cord has inaugurated a new technical service centre in Chennai, the company has announced.
The opening ceremony, on 15 Jan, was scaled-down with a minimum number of participants in line with Covid-19 health and safety protocols, the company pointed out.
“The opening of our India technical service center marks a big step forward in our continued effort to provide better services to our customers in India”, the company stated.
“It shows our long-term commitment to the Indian market and our ambition of becoming a truly global company,” added Xingda’s statement.
Xingda said it has been in the Indian market for about two decades, and had gradually grown its business to become now a key supplier there.
Xingda claims to be the largest supplier of steel tire cord in China and the second largest in the world. Its portfolio also includes bead wire, hose wire and galvanised wire.
Under its latest five-year plan, Xingda intends to “to expand its global footprint and increase its production capacity to meet the growing demands from the global market.”
With nearly 7,000 employees worldwide, Xingda has three major production bases in Jiangsu, Shandong and Thailand, and has branches in the US, Luxembourg and Thailand.
The company also operates technical service centres across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
