Safic-Alcan extends distribution deal with Momentive

Paris – Chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan has announced an extension to its existing cooperation with Momentive Performance Materials.

Under a new agreement, Safic-Alcan has also become an authorized distributor for Momentive’s products for use in industrial applications, in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Safic-Alcan is providing customers with sales, order fulfilment and technical support for various Momentive products used as chemical processing aids, foam control and mould release agents in industrial applications.

The relationship “brings together Safic-Alcan’s extensive experience in specialty products and diverse markets with Momentive’s innovative products,” said Piermario Ghizzone, Momentive’s European segment leader – process industries.

The latest deal “extends our commitment with a world leader of silicone fluids …[to] offer enhanced technical solutions and added value products to our customers in industrial markets,” Philippe Combette, CEO of Safic-Alcan in a 1 Jan statment.
