Smithers names new transport segment product testing head

Among other services, Smithers provides testing support for fluid transfer systems and general rubber goods
Shropshire, UK – Materials testing and consulting company Smithers has appointed Kyle Jaggers as supervisor of product testing primarily for the transportation sector.
Jaggers will be responsible for the running of Smithers’ UK product testing laboratory to particularly support the needs of clients in developing automotive and aerospace fluid transfer systems, fittings and couplings, general rubber and plastic goods as well as industrial components for the transportation sector.
In a statement 1 Dec, Smithers said Jaggers has “diverse industry experience” and will deliver “tailored support and accurate data, on time” to support customers.
Jaggers has over 10 years of testing, engineering and management experience, according to Smithers.
Most recently, he worked for a “leading aerospace manufacturer,” where he managed the delivery of a new testing facility and fuel system test procedures for both internal and external stakeholders.
“Kyle joins Smithers with a deep industry experience and understanding of complex testing requirements” said Simon Hubbard, director of product testing, welcoming Jaggers to the company.
