New agreement covers speciality carbon blacks and rubber carbon blacks for a wide range of applications
Paris – Safic-Alcan has entered into an extended distribution deal with Orion Engineered Carbons in South Africa, effective 1 Jan 2021, the French-based distributor has announced.
The new agreement covers speciality carbon blacks and rubber carbon blacks, for applications such as mechanical rubber goods, coating & ink systems and polymers, Safic-Alcan said 1 Dec.
The move, it noted, builds on a long-standing partnership between the companies in Europe and follows a previous extension a couple of years ago, in Benelux, Germany and eastern Europe.
“This is a new step in our cooperation with Safic-Alcan. With this further agreement we underline our commitment to the carbon black customers in the South African market and are confident that the… service offered by Safic-Alcan is ideally suited to the performance of our products,” said Udo Engels, vice president sales EMEA, Orion Engineered Carbons GmbH.
The new agreement will “further strengthen our relationship with Orion and will allow us to enhance our product portfolio and product offering in South Africa,” Safic-Alcan‘s Philippe Cenreaud, MD rubber and plastic and Yann Lissillour, MD CASE and Industrial specialties, jointly added.
