Scheduled for 26-29 Jan 2021 in Moscow, the event was called off due to tightening of Covid measure
Moscow – Russia’s international rubber & plastic trade fair interplastica, and packaging and processing exhibition upakovka, have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the tightening of quarantine regulations in the country.
The events, scheduled to be held 26-29 Jan 2021 in Moscow, will now take place on their next regular dates, 25-28 Jan 2022, announced organiser Messe Dusseldorf on 24 Nov.
"Moscow has taken stricter measures to contain the corona pandemic due to the drastic increase in the number of infections. Cultural, educational and other events are prohibited until mid-January,” said Erhard Wienkamp, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf.
The new dates, he said, will allow all participants of the interplastica and upakovka to “react in time”, to reschedule for next year.
According to the organisers, Messe Düsseldorf Moscow is investigating the possibility of offering presentation options to interested companies for 2021.
