French chemicals distributor has put in place a CSR assessment process since 2014
Paris – Safic-Alcan France, part of French chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan Group, has been awarded the gold rating by environmental agency EcoVadis for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance.
In a 7 Oct statement, the group said it had put in place a CSR assessment process since 2014 and was awarded the rating for its policies with regards to the environment, labour practices & human rights.
“With 68 out of 100 possible points, Safic-Alcan France received for its first time the EcoVadis gold rating and increases its score by 10 points versus its last rating,” said the company statement.
The ranking places Safic-Alcan France among “the best 1% distributors” assessed by EcoVadis, it said.
Commenting on the recognition, group CEO Philippe Combette said the environmental, social and governance (ESG) ongoing assessment aimed at turning Safic-Alcan to a “durable” link within the industries it serves.
