Ludwigshafen, Germany – BASF SE has raised the selling price for 1,4-butanediol (BDO) and its derivatives in Europe, the company announced 6 March.
With immediate effect, the hike will see the price for the material increase by €100 per tonne, BASF added.
According to the German chemicals company, BDO and its derivatives are used for producing polyurethanes, elastic spandex fibres and engineering plastics.
