Huasheng and Hongsheng allegedly used the tread pattern of Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 tire
Tokyo – Bridgestone Corp. has received a favourable ruling in its design right infringement lawsuit against Chinese tire manufacturers Shandong Huasheng Rubber Co. and Shandong Hongsheng Rubber Co., the company has announced.
The suit, filed in January 2017, pertains to the Huasheng and Hongsheng’s alleged use of the tread pattern of Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 tire for 4×4 sport utility vehicles.
In October 2019, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court ruled in favour of Bridgestone ordering the two companies to pay damages of 900,000 Chinese yuan (€116,000) to the Japanese tire maker, Bridgestone said in an 8 Jan statement.
