Maastricht, The Netherlands – Arlanxeo will address future mobility during the upcoming K show in October, highlighting its achievements in the tire and electric drive segments.
The company will present new tire solutions, including "new polymer architectures" which improve tire compounds to achieve reduced rolling and abrasion resistance while maintaining safety aspects, Arlanxeo announced 5 Sept.
According to Arlanxeo, the improved compound can help extend range and decrease energy consumption of electric vehicles.
The rubber specialist will also present its research on innovative rubber grades in lithium-ion batteries that allow for shorter charging times and offer more power and greater range.
Among others, Arlanxeo will showcase new thermal management solutions to secure batteries from overheating.
Additionally, the company will highlight its work on new applications for rubber solutions specifically for the e-mobility segment.
The products can be used in heat and flame-resistant cables for charging, lightweight profiles, dampening and anti-vibration systems, brake systems or new performance wiper blades for camera-based autonomous driving.
Arlanxeo said it was focusing on addressing the requirements of new mobility trends through designing, testing and developing elastomer solutions in collaboration with its customers and partners.
"We are working closely with our customers in meeting their needs in electrification and automation,” said Donald Chen, CEO of Arlanxeo.
K 2019 rubber & plastics trade fair will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany 16-23 Oct.
