Kassel, Germany – German industrial parts supplier Huebner Group will be supplying components to the new Airbus A350, the company has announced.
Specialised in gangways and door sealing systems for buses and railway vehicles, Huebner is now supplying silicone-based panelling elements for the interiors of the new family of airplanes being built by Airbus.
The supply deal was signed during the International Paris Air Show earlier this summer.
"Aerospace is one of the target markets that we want to concentrate on more with our business segment Material Solutions,” said general manager Ingolf Cedra.
The new order will be handled by the company's French subsidiary Heurteaux, based in Maule in the vicinity of Paris.
The company, which has been part of the Huebner Group for the past six years, will deliver silicone products to the Airbus supplier Diehl Aviation.
The products have been developed through “a lengthy testing process” to fulfil aerospace standards, according to Tim Konze, key account manager for Huebner Material Solutions.
"We needed to combine the exacting physical and chemical requirements that are generally demanded for aircraft parts with the requirements for fire resistance that apply for interior components,” Konze added.
Huebner has been active in the field of airport technology for more than 40 years.
The company supplies airports, including Germany’s Frankfurt and Munich airports, with folding canopies for passenger boarding bridges.
