Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation has relocated its headquarters and Dubai marine fender sales team to a new commercial complex in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.
The move to Jafza One commercial building follows the formation, earlier this year, of Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation, formerly Trelleborg Marine Systems, Trelleborg announced 21 Aug.
In addition to marine solutions, the new operation now includes Trelleborg’s infrastructure operation as well as its Qingdao-based sales office and manufacturing facility.
The business area supplies engineered polymer solutions to the marine, infrastructure and renewable energy industries.
It manufactures fender systems, docking and mooring equipment, oil and gas transfer technology and vessel efficiency technology for marine environments.
The unit also produces a range of general marine products, including navigation aids and buoys, sealing systems for tunnels, dredging hoses, and polymer seals for offshore applications.
Alongside the move to the new expanded office, Trelleborg has also added two new members to the operation’s management team and made three appointments to the marine fender sales team.
“The relocation… means that we are able to provide greater local presence and expertise, ensuring that we can handle increased customer and project demands,” said Richard Hepworth, president at Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation.
