London – Martha Desmond has been appointed as the chief human resources officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd, replacing Tapan Mitra who is retiring.
London – Martha Desmond has been appointed as the chief human resources officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd, replacing Tapan Mitra who is retiring.
Desmond will be responsible for all aspects of HR in the organisation, in addition to being a member of the company’s management board, Apollo said 22 Dec. She will be based out of the company’s office in London.
“I am confident that Martha, with her vast experience across geographies, will help us improve on our global HR systems and processes, at the same time, make Apollo Tyres a highly people-centric organisation,” said Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman & MD, Apollo Tyres Ltd.
Desmond’s last assignment was with Genel Energy, where she worked as HR director based out of Turkey. Prior to that, she was associated with BG Group as HR director and later, in Mumbai, as deputy managing director for the group’s exploration and production division.
She has also worked with RWE Thames Water, HFC Bank and Resourcing Solut
