Michelin, BFG tire prices going up in North America

Greenville, South Carolina – Michelin North America Inc. is raising prices on selected Michelin- and BFGoodrich-brand passenger and light-truck tires in the US and Canada by up to 5%, effective 1 Sept.
Michelin did not comment on its reasons for raising prices at this time. Customers may discuss details concerning the price increase directly with account managers.
This is Michelin's second announced consumer tire price increase in 2019.
The Greenville-based company raised passenger and light-truck tire prices in the US and Canada by up to 5% on 1 Jan.
That increase also included Uniroyal-brand consumer tires and Michelin-brand two-wheeler tires, sold in the US and Canada.
