Benevent l'Abbaye, France – French industrial group Acaplast has acquired automotive parts supplier Brisard from former owner Askol Group, in a bid to expand its footprint in France.
Based in Mayenne, France, Brisard is specialised in the injection of rubber & plastics and supplies parts, such as seals and fluid transmission systems, to the automotive industry.
The company registered sales of €5 million last year and employs 47.
The takeover, said Acaplast in a statement, was completed 16 July and the acquired business will be renamed Acaplast Mayenne.
The purchase, said Acaplast, fits into the group’s growth strategy, expanding its reach in northwest of France.
A family-owned business, Acaplast is a full-service rubber and plastics producer that provides custom-made design, formulation and manufacturing systems for the automotive industry.
The company employs 350 people in 9 production sites in France, Tunisia and Morocco.
Describing the acquisition as a “win-win situation, Jeremie Choukroun, Acaplast Group CEO said the purchase increased the group’s sub-assembly capacity.
