Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France – French automotive supplier, the Akwel Group has inaugurated an automotive ‘complex hoses’ plant in Rayong, Thailand in a bid to move closer to its customers.
Officially opened in November last year, the plant supplies coolant hoses to Ford and other local carmakers, said Akwel in a statement.
The 5,700-square-metre factory is currently dedicated to assembly of complex hoses.
By 2020, Akwel expects to add rubber processing (extrusion, forming) capabilities at the plant, to complement the group’s expertise and product range.
