Burton-on-Trent, UK – Pirelli has confirmed “a small incident” at its UK production plant in Beech Lane, Stretton, last month.
“Our procedure in dealing with it worked to plan and, together with the fire service, we addressed the issue swiftly,” a Pirelli spokesman said in a written statement to ERJ 16 July.
According to local press reports, the roof of the Pirelli premises caught fire on 19 June.
The fire, reported Staffordshire Live, was stopped by Pirelli’s sprinkler system and the staff were evacuated unharmed.
Pirelli declined to give further details.
