Dusseldorf, Germany – Asahi Kasei Europe is planning to relocate its headquarter within Dusseldorf by the second half of 2020.
Located at Dusseldorf Harbor, the new offices will consolidate sales, marketing and R&D activities, Asahi Kasei announced 13 May.
The relocation, it said, is intended to enhance the company’s business approach to the European automotive industry.
Asahi Kasei established its European HQ at Seestern, Dusseldorf in 2016, and a year later opened an R&D centre nearby in Chempark Dormagen.
The new HQ, it said, will house Asahi Kasei Microdevices Europe and the Dormagen-based R&D centre in addition to sales & marketing functions.
Asahi Kasei Spandex Europe (AKSE), a manufacturer of elastic fibres based in Chempark Dormagen will not relocate to the new site.
The relocation will enable help “accelerate our business activities in Europe, especially towards the European automotive industry,” said Hideki Tsutsumi, managing director of Asahi Kasei Europe.
