Shin-Etsu silicones business registers double-digit growth
Tokyo – Japanese materials supplier Shin-Etsu has posted double-digit growth within its silicones business for the financial year ended 31 March 2019.
The segment’s net sales stood at Yen233 billion (€1.8 billion) for the period, 13.1% up compared to Yen206 billion registered the year before.
Operating income also increased: up 12.7% to Yen58.5 billion, Shin-Etsu reported 26 April.
The Japanese company linked the gains to price adjustments and high production rates in response to strong demand.
