Paris – Safic-Alcan has extended its agreement with Dow for the distribution of ethylene copolymers to cover the entire Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The agreement is effective 1 Jan, except in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria, where it will enter into force on 1 April.
Safic-Alcan already distributes the Dow products in France, Spain, Portugal and Nordic countries.
The agreement includes such trademarks as Elvax, Elvaloy, Fusabond, Bynel, Nucrel, Surlyn, Entira and Apeel.
The copolymers are used in a wide variety of applications, including wire and cable as well as shoe soles.
Dow’s ethylene copolymers will allow us to enhance our product portfolio… and reach new markets,” said Philippe Combette, CEO of Safic-Alcan.
As part of the DowDuPont merger, the ethylene copolymer offering of DuPont is being integrated into the Dow portfolio.
