Mesnac advances “most intelligent” TBM
Shanghai, China – Mesnac recently introduced what it said was “the most intelligent tire building machine (TBM) designed independently in China, and one that has reached the advanced level globally.”
Launched at the recent International Exhibition on Rubber Technology in Shanghai, the PS2A PCR machine, features ‘synchronous turn-up’ and intelligent control technologies, and achieves cycle times of less than 40s, Mesnac stated.
Smart-manufacturing capabilities are a developing trend in the rubber and tire industry, said the company, adding that these was an “urgent” need for R&D in the area of intelligent equipment.
With two drums and three working positions, the unit is designed to be operated only by one operator. The rim diameter is about 14″~ 22″, and the TBM “is suitable for SOT (sidewall-over-tread) and TOS (tread-over-sidewall) constructions.
In developing the TBM, Mesnac said its R&D team “upgraded and made breakthroughs in technologies such as synchronous turn-up with isometric force and space, belt drum servo control, belt transfer ting auto-adjusting technology [and] PA auto-application technology.”
Maintenance functions include prescriptive fault diagnosis, part visualisation, paperless spare parts management, the company added in its product-launch announcement.
