Mallard Creek Polymers offers concreting aids for oil and gas engineering
ERJ staff report (BC)
Charlotte, North Carolina - Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. (MCP) has launched a self-stabilised styrene-butadiene latex for the oil and gas sector.
Tylac 4901 is designed to allow companies in challenging concrete environments such as oil well cementing to improve gas permeability without using additional stabilising surfactants.
MCP is also completing the development of a broad portfolio of cement modifiers for both interior and exterior applications.
For self-consolidating or vibro-compaction concrete, MCP is developing and marketing rheology modifiers, under the Tychem brand, that build strength or reduce overall raw material costs for the concrete.
Tychem rheology modifiers can bring “unique†performance to many concrete applications, says MCP, by controlling flow characteristics and water availability during cement curing.
