New unit to bring together global automotive aftermarket activities from 2027
Weinheim, Germany – Freudenberg is bringing together its global automotive aftermarket activities within a dedicated business group as part of a move to broaden its product and service offering.
The new Freudenberg Aftermarket business group will become operational at the beginning of 2027, the German technology group announced 8 Sept.
The unit will combine product portfolios, services and technical expertise from across Freudenberg, while drawing on the group’s original equipment activities.
Freudenberg said the move would provide customers with easier access to a broader range of aftermarket products, improved product availability and stronger technical support.
The group also expects the new structure to enable faster introduction of products and technologies and expand its digital capabilities.
The business group will be headed by Felix Schindele as CEO, alongside CFO Manuel Mares and COO Bryon Osterland.
Currently, Freudenberg’s automotive aftermarket solutions primarily include Corteco, part of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies and Freudenberg Filtration Technologies.
Among other products, the businesses supply automotive seals, O-rings, gaskets for engines, transmissions, and brakes as well as vibration and noise control parts.
