Rhein Chemie opens bladder production in Brazil

Porto Feliz/Mannheim – Lanxess’s Rhein Chemie business unit has added capacity at its Porto Feliz site in Brazil for manufacturing Rhenoshape curing bladders which are used in tire manufacture.
Rhein Chemie already makes Rhenogran polymer-bound rubber additives at Porto Feliz. More additive capacity for additives will follow in the coming year, says the company. The expansion represents an investment of around €10m, creating up to 60 new jobs.
