IoM3 chief executive to retire

London –Dr Bernie Rickinson, chief executive of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3) is to retire from the Institute at the end of 2018, the IoM3 has announced.

Rickinson, said a statement, gave extended notice to allow for the timely appointment of a new chief executive ahead of the institute’s 150th anniversary next year.

‘It’s business as usual to the yearend’, said Rickinson, who promised a fuller ‘retrospective’ in a coming issue of the IoM3’s Materials World magazine.

Recruitment consultants Executive Headhunters have been engaged to find a successor, according to the institute.
