German tire retailers trade association the BRV has recognised achievements in the German tire industry for many years.

The group’s Kreativpreis 2018 recognises solutions and products with a high level of innovation and creativity. It has two main categories: Kreativpreis Industry, sponsored by The Tire Cologne, and Kreativpreis Trade, supported by Hankook.

Each category is sub-divided into three awards:

Innovation of the year – for the most successful introduction of a novel product or service.

Best green idea – recognising leading-edge creative concepts in the fields of economy, ecology and social matters, and are committed to long term sustainability.

Best future idea – development of a product / service with which future business areas can be served, and which generates new demand impulses.

Entries for the awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts, who will evaluate submissions based on set criteria.

The inaugural Tire Cologne expo for the leading international tire and wheel industries will be held 29 May to 1 June in Cologne.

The event will feature participation of global players from across the tire sector, including the top 20 tire manufacturers as well as tire retailers, car service providers and workshop outfitters.

The trade fair is organised by Koelnmesse, with backing from the BRV as industry sponsor.
