Jasin, Malaysia – China’s Boto Tyre signed a memorandum in April with Malacca government to build a tire plant in the state’s Jasin city, said the company.
Boto plans to pump €255 million (1.2 billion ringgit) into the new plant, which has a total area of 60,000 square metres, according to the website of China’s Ministry of Commerce.
Based in Dongying, Shandong, Boto has 3 million unit annual capacity for truck and bus tires with 80,000 units'year for retreads.
Boto's parent company Wanda Rubber has 15 million unit annual capacity passenger car tire and 1.5 million for tubeless truck and bus tires.
