Milan – Prometeon Tire Group – the new company name of the group that produces Pirelli brand truck, bus, farm and OTR tires – has announced a new commercial agreement with Iveco Defence Vehicles.

The deal with the industrial vehicles manufacturer covers calls for a partnership for the development and supply of tires for new generation defence vehicles, said an 11 April press release from Prometeon.

A new tire, the Pirelli MG:01 in the 265/70R19.5 size, has been developed at the Prometeon Tire Group’s R&D centre in Milan “in the context of” this development partnership. The tread compound is said to be compatible with traditional road, off-road and snow conditions.
