Hamburg, Germany — Advanc3d Materials has developed a new TPU that it claims is the most stretchy material available for the selective laser sintering (SLS) process. It can be used on most printers that operate below a printing temperature of 100°C.
AdSint TPU80shA is manufactured using the company’s proprietary synthesis technology. It has a very high elongation at break, at 600%, which results in an extremely stretchy material, the company said.
The spherical particles lead to a smooth surface, and it offers good chemical and abrasion resistance.
Typical applications include shoe soles, orthopaedic models, hoses, tubes, seals and wheels. It is available in 2kg bottles and 10kg bags.
