Trelleborg, Sweden - Trelleborg board member Jan Carlson is to step down from his position at the company’s next annual general meeting on 27 April.
According to a company news release 31 Jan, Carlson is “no longer available for re-election and will therefore resign his seat… after three years of commendable work.”
His contribution, said Trelleborg, was signficiant during the company’s ownership and subsequent divestment of shares in the Vibracoustic joint venture.
As Trelleborg expects to reduce the number of its board members to eight in 2017, the company will not introduce a replacement for Carlson.
The nomination committee’s revised proposal from 25 Jan suggests the following individuals as members of the board of directors: Hans Biörck, Gunilla Fransson, Johan Malmquist, Sören Mellstig, Peter Nilsson, Anne Mette Olesen, Susanne Pahlén Åklundh and Bo Risberg.
It is proposed to re-elect Sören Mellstig as the chairman of the board.
