Report: Indonesia to build €88m rubber oil refinery

Jakarta – Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam) in Riau Islands, has signed an agreement with Singaporean Enerco Chemicals for the construction of a rubber oil refinery, according to a report on 20 Sept by the Jakarta Post.
The project, said the report, will be completed by Enerco subsidiary, Enerco RPO Internasional and is estimated to cost 1.3 trillion Indonesian rupees (€88.6 million).
According to the Jakarta Post, the 100 kilotonne per annum (ktpa) facility will produce treated distillate aromatic extract (TDAE) rubber oil.
Enerco, it added, will work with European engineering firms to build the plant and will also partner with ExxonMobil for the supply of raw materials.
