Hyderabad, India – The fluoroelastomers market is set to grow at a CAGR of 4.0 percent during the period between 2016 and 2021, according to market research firm Industry ARC.
In a recent study, the India-based firm found that concern over CO2 emissions from cars and aircrafts are shifting the focus of the designers to materials that reducevehicle weight and so lower fuel consumption and emissions.
Due to their chemical resistance, temperature resistance and vibration isolation properties, fluoroelastomers are widely used in seals for automotive drivetrains, fuel injection, cooling and lubrication systems – among other applications.
With a growing automotive industry, Asia Pacific is set to dominate the fluoroelastomers market with an estimated growth of CAGR of 5.4 percent, the report added.
